Will hatching or seeding require me to make any settings in my firewall/ router?

Does hatching or seeding require a "static IP" address to work properly?

Personally, I am new to crypto-currencies. I have no experience with any of them, but I think your concept has a good chance to scale properly to become the people's money and free us from the tyrants.

Any suggestions on securing my system from key-log or clipboard malware?

    VE,

    In response to your questions:

Firewall settings: Not totally required to be changed, but there is a improvement if you can open port 20000. Doing so will optimize/improve the number of connections to your client. It will work fine without that port open (I've tested it personally), but it is better if it is open.

    Static IP: Totally not required.

As for securing your system, I can't help much with that as it's beyond the scope of my expertise other than the myriad of steps each person should take to ensure that their system is secure like virus scanners, malware scanners...etc. There have been several tests of running it via linux from a clean boot disk so that's an option as well.
